WEY must close, temporarily

Updated: Jul 24

Further to our response on this coronavirus (COVID-19) and with immediate effect, Weybridge Rowing Club shall close for two weeks. Please be assured this is not a decision taken lightly. Please be further assured that we have not had any reports of coronavirus cases amongst our membership. However, having weighed up all the risks versus the benefits, this is felt to be the safest, even the most fair, option for all concerned.

On a personal note, I would like to thank the Committee for their support in reaching this decision. It is essential we do all we can to stay well. It is essential we eat and eat well. It is also essential we keep moving and keep positive. (Members can check out more information on these 'essentials' in the latest issue of 'By The Wey'). What is not essential is the club staying open right now. Of course, this whole situation as it affects us as a club is under constant review.

Truly, these are unprecedented times.  All the best to you and your's,

Claudine Ferguson captain@weybridgerowing.club
